There are moments in life when the past quietly fades into the background, making way for humanity, generosity, and the sincere joy of helping others. Such a moment unfolded at the charity calendar launch of model Andrea Verešová. When she happened to cross paths with her former love – the legendary Jaromír Jágr – at last year’s Karlovy Vary Film Festival, few could have guessed that their story would take on a new, inspiring dimension.
Jaromír Jágr decided to support Andrea’s foundation, Helping Children Together, by donating his iconic jersey to the charity auction. “I am grateful that Jarda suggested such an act. He understands how important it is to give a chance to those who haven’t had much luck in life. I truly appreciate it,” Andrea shared, visibly moved. Her husband Daniel Volopich also attended the event, which was filled with genuine emotions, gratitude, and a sense of elegance.
The launch took place at Prague’s FU Bar in the Old Town. During the evening, not only dresses but also Jágr’s jersey were auctioned – each piece found a new owner for 50,000 CZK. “I wanted the calendar to be about more than just beauty and fashion. I wanted it to truly help. That’s happening, and I am incredibly happy for it,” confided Andrea.
The calendar was photographed by talented young photographer Martina Winter from Žilina. Among the professionals, twenty-six-year-old Ladislav also stood out, having grown up in a children’s home. “I’ve been supporting Ládík for a long time. He’s very talented, this year he assisted me, and next year he’ll be photographing the calendar himself. It will be our joint project,” Andrea revealed, and Ladislav nodded enthusiastically.
The evening was full of moving moments. Fifteen-year-old singer Sofie Kovářová donated her first fee to this very foundation and ceremoniously presented a cheque for 20,000 CZK. “It’s good to help. I support Mrs. Verešová and her projects inspire me,” the young artist admitted.
Familiar faces were not missing among the guests – in addition to Jaromír Jágr, for example, Lela Vémolová, Saša Hemala and his wife, Petr Vojnar, Jakub Kohák, celebrity manager Andrea Ahmedi, and entrepreneur Leo Beránek attended.
