Crystal That Carries Time

Thirty years of maturation is a discipline in itself. And when such a spirit is joined by hands that know how to give glass its character, something is born that reads not merely as a product launch, but as a story of patience. For the thirty-year-old whisky GOLDCOCK 1995, a collector’s set was created: a hand-blown decanter and a pair of matching crystal glasses from the Květná 1794 glassworks.

Behind the design stands glass artist Lukáš Jabůrek, who focused on a single idea: that form should not overpower the content, but carry it. That glass should not be decoration, but a dignified frame for a drink that has been maturing for decades.

“I wanted to create an object worthy of a story that lasted three decades. A decanter that would not only represent a rare whisky, but would also embody devotion to craftsmanship and the power of the moment,” says Lukáš Jabůrek.

Květná 1794: A Tradition That Cannot Be Rushed

The decanter and glasses were produced in a limited edition of 200 pieces at the oldest Moravian glassworks in the country. At Květná 1794, handcraft is not performed for effect—it is everyday reality. Each piece is finished with delicate sandblasted and gilded details, and the set is completed by a stopper cut with a diamond-style cut, bearing the emblem of the golden rooster.

The result feels exactly as it should: calm, confident, and with no need to explain why it is exceptional. Visually, it stands on the border between functional glassware and an artefact you want to keep on display.

Between a Toast and a Ritual

With limited editions, emotion often makes the decision. Here it arrives quietly: in the proportions of the decanter, in the rhythm of the cuts, in the way light travels through crystal. It is a set that does not push for grandeur—it invites you to slow down.

“GOLDCOCK 1995 is a fusion of the Těšetice heritage, the present-day spirit of Vizovice, and Moravian glassmaking mastery. For us, it proves that a true gem is created where time, craftsmanship, and passion meet in a single, unrepeatable moment,” adds Miroslav Motyčka, Sales and Marketing Director of RUDOLF JELÍNEK a.s.

Continuing the Dialogue Between Glass and Spirit

This collaboration is not a one-off gesture. It follows a previous joint project from 2024, when a limited edition of a hand-blown bottle and glasses was created, inspired by the essence of the plum. The same principle applies this time as well: respect for the raw material, for the place of origin, and for craftsmanship that has its own rhythm.

The GOLDCOCK brand was founded in the 1970s in Těšetice near Olomouc as a bold attempt to produce whisky in Central Europe. In the 1980s it became a phenomenon, but changes after 1989 led to a decline in demand and production in Těšetice ended in 2002. A new chapter began when the brand was acquired by RUDOLF JELÍNEK, which moved production to Vizovice and gave Czech whisky a second life.
