Metamorphosis at Bratislava Castle

The iconic landmark of Slovakia’s capital was transformed on Friday, 16 January 2026, into a place where world-class elegance naturally intertwined with purpose and solidarity. The second edition of the exclusive Beauty Ball in Bratislava, hosted by renowned physician Alena Pallová, followed last year’s successful premiere and once again proved that a social evening can be not only beautiful, but also meaningful.

This year’s theme was Metamorphosis — a transformation that takes place not only on the level of visuals and aesthetics, but above all in emotions, atmosphere, and actions. Beauty Ball 2026 brought back nobility and refinement to the ball season, while adding a deeper dimension: it turned a glamorous gathering into a platform for support, where beauty, art, and design are transformed into tangible help for those who need it most.

“Beauty Ball is not only about outer beauty for me, but about the metamorphosis each of us goes through. We wanted to create an evening where nobility is paired with helping others. I am immensely proud that we can welcome such exceptional personalities to Bratislava Castle and, together, bring back the lost sparkle and deeper meaning to Slovakia’s ball season,” said the evening’s host, Alena Pallová.

Top model Adriana Sklenaříková stepped onto the red carpet of the Winter Riding Hall and used the occasion for a truly personal moment — for the first time, she introduced her new partner to the Slovak public and to her family: French singer Marc Lavoine, often compared to Karel Gott.

“Slovakia is my home and I always love coming back. But this evening is even more personal for me, because in this beautiful setting I can introduce my partner Marc to my closest family and friends for the first time. Metamorphosis is a symbol of a new beginning for me, and Beauty Ball is the ideal place for it,” said Sklenaříková.

Among the guests of honour was also Czech modelling and philanthropy icon Tereza Maxová, for whom Beauty Ball is synonymous with transforming outer glamour into an inner strength to help.

“Here, beauty doesn’t end on the red carpet — it continues in the silent auction, where every contribution changes lives. Metamorphosis, in my eyes, means finding the core and the strength to make the world a little better. This evening is exactly about that,” Maxová said.

A programme that soothes the soul

The artistic highlight of the evening featured performances by legends and top-tier artists. Throughout the night, music was provided by Vladimír Smutný’s orchestra, giving the event the unmistakable hallmark of a classic ballroom atmosphere. Guests also enjoyed the emotional voice of Mária Čírová, the legendary Richard Müller, and the ever-enchanting Helena Vondráčková.

Beauty that helps

A powerful thread of the evening was its philanthropic dimension, expressed through a silent auction of artworks, design pieces, exclusive experiences, and even a photograph of Richard Müller with a personal dedication. Proceeds from the auction will support the Be Charity Foundation and also the Association of Friends of Oncology and Art, which brings beauty and culture into oncology settings — through art projects and the aesthetic enhancement of spaces, it helps patients and their loved ones cope with the demanding period of treatment. Guided by the philosophy “Art Heals,” the association has spent more than 15 years transforming hospital spaces into galleries full of life, colour, and emotion.

“The proceeds from Beauty Ball will allow us to continue projects that bring humanity, colour, and hope into treatment. We would like to support women across Slovakia so that, even during demanding treatment and afterwards, they feel beautiful, strong, and seen. It is a perfect connection: femininity, elegance, and beauty brought to life at the ball will support the beauty of women who are going through the most difficult period of their lives,” explains MUDr. Jozef Dolinský, Chairman of the Association of Friends of Oncology and Art.

“Every single piece auctioned at this ball will translate into concrete help — whether in the form of beautifying treatment spaces or supporting projects focused on women’s dignity and self-confidence. Our experience confirms that art has healing power. Beauty Ball is an inspiring example of how nobility and philanthropic responsibility complement one another,” he adds.

Ambitions of a European-format event

The second edition of Beauty Ball clearly demonstrated its potential to become an event of European calibre. The presence of global icons, the fusion of top design with interactive gastronomy, and a strong emphasis on social responsibility suggest that Beauty Ball aims to go beyond Slovakia’s borders and become a cultural and social beacon — one that will be talked about in Bratislava, Prague, and Paris alike.
