What does it personally mean for you to manage a hotel in the heart of South Tyrol, and what was your journey to this role?
Managing a hotel in South Tyrol means carrying on the deeply rooted tradition of hospitality while developing it in a modern way. My path to this position was a natural evolution—a combination of passion for hospitality, many years of experience, and the desire to create a place with a unique atmosphere. Every day fills me with joy as I see Bonfanti becoming a home away from home for guests from all over the world.
How would you describe the atmosphere of Design Hotel Bonfanti in a single word or image?
Silent elegance. Bonfanti is a place where guests feel relaxed, welcomed, and inspired. The air is filled with calm, light pours in through large windows, and every detail is designed to support a sense of well-being.
In your opinion, what sets Bonfanti apart from other hotels in the region—what is its signature?
Our signature is the combination of a personal approach, precise design, and an authentic atmosphere. Bonfanti is not ostentatious—it is naturally exceptional. We strive for every guest to feel important to us, and for their comfort and experiences to be at the heart of everything we do.
How do you connect traditional Tyrolean hospitality with modern design and current trends in your hotel?
We respect local traditions and values, but interpret them through the modern language of design, architecture, and services. This creates a harmony between past and present. Our guests appreciate feeling like they’re in a family environment while enjoying all the comforts of contemporary hospitality.
What values or philosophy do you want guests to feel during their stay?
Authenticity, sincere care, and the sense that they are in a place where every detail truly matters. We believe that true hospitality is about small gestures and the ability to perceive the individual needs of every guest.
Which services or details do guests appreciate the most, and why?
Our guests most often highlight our personal approach, tranquil atmosphere, quality gastronomy, and the ability of our team to anticipate their wishes. We always try to be one step ahead, so that every stay is truly carefree and filled with joy.
How do you work with demanding international clientele, and what are your key strategies for building long-term relationships?
The foundation is listening, understanding cultural differences, and being flexible. Trust and consistent quality are the keys to long-term relationships. Every guest is our partner, whose expectations we aim not only to meet but to exceed.
How do you perceive the role of sustainability and the use of local resources in hotel operations?
We see sustainability as a natural part of our responsibility. We prefer local suppliers, quality materials, and a gentle approach to nature. We believe that even small steps can have a big impact and that respect for the place where we live and work is the foundation of long-term success.
Do you have a personal tip for an experience, place, or activity in the area that you recommend to every guest?
I definitely recommend a morning walk or hike in the mountains. In these moments, you can fully feel the peace and beauty of South Tyrol—it’s an experience that refreshes both body and soul.
What are your greatest professional challenges and dreams for the future—where would you like to take Bonfanti in the coming years?
My goal is to continually elevate the quality of experience for our guests while preserving the authenticity of the hotel. I dream that Bonfanti will always remain a place where guests love to return.
