It’s morning, and the first rays of sunlight paint gentle shadows on the wooden shutters of my hotel room. The air is filled with the crisp purity of the mountains and a quiet promise of adventure. I am in South Tyrol—a region synonymous with harmony between nature, tradition, and modern indulgence. As the editor-in-chief of Lock in SUITE magazine, I have had the privilege to travel the world, but rarely have I felt such a deep connection with the landscape as I did here—at the foot of the majestic Kronplatz.
Kronplatz is a name spoken with respect by both locals and visitors. It is the heart of South Tyrol, where Alpine energy meets Italian charm. Each day here begins differently—sometimes with breakfast in a centuries-old farmhouse, other times in a designer hotel with panoramic views of the Dolomites. Everywhere you go, you sense reverence for nature, tradition, and detail.
Love at First Sight—and Second
South Tyrol is a land of contrasts: sharp mountain peaks and the delicate taste of homemade cheese, Alpine silence and lively cafés in Brunico, ancient vineyards and modern architecture. But it was Kronplatz that captivated me the most. Perhaps it’s the combination of endless vistas, the incredible hospitality of the locals, and the feeling that here, you can truly be yourself.
Every day brings new experiences: mornings on the slopes, with snow crunching beneath my skis; afternoons at the Messner Mountain Museum, where the history of the mountains mingles with the personal stories of adventurers. Evenings are for dining in one of the local restaurants, where traditional cuisine blends effortlessly with the lightness of Mediterranean flavors.
Traveling through Kronplatz is like returning to your essence—to peace, to nature, to the joy of simple things. It’s not just about the destination, but about the feeling you take home with you. As a team, we found inspiration here, as well as space for true relaxation. Everywhere we went, we felt genuinely welcome.
Why Did I Fall in Love with Kronplatz?
Because it’s authentic. It offers experiences for everyone—from families with children and sports enthusiasts to gourmets and dreamers. Because here, tradition is not just a word, but a lived reality. And because every day on Kronplatz is an invitation to discover—landscapes, flavors, and even yourself.
South Tyrol and Kronplatz have left an indelible mark on me. And I know for certain that I will return—not only as a reporter, but as someone who found a piece of home here.
