Světlo, jemné barvy a svobodomyslná energie australského Bondi Beach přicházejí do Prahy. Almanac X Alcron Prague představí od 8. září výstavu slovenské vizuální umělkyně Zuzu Gálové s názvem Chasing Endless Summer, vytvořenou speciálně pro prostory hotelu.
Co kdyby léto nikdy nemuselo skončit? Právě tuto myšlenku rozvíjí nová kolekce Chasing Endless Summer, inspirovaná atmosférou australského Bondi Beach, které se Zuzu Gálové během let strávených v Sydney stalo domovem i výrazným zdrojem tvůrčí inspirace.
Výstava však není oslavou léta v jeho doslovném významu. Nekonečné léto je zde především stavem mysli – symbolem svobody, odvahy následovat vlastní cestu, zvídavosti a schopnosti nacházet radost v každodenních okamžicích.
FROM BONDI BEACH TO PRAGUE
Light, subtle colours and female figures become the artist’s visual language for capturing a sense of freedom, lightness and joy in the present moment. Most of the works in the new collection will be presented to the public for the very first time.
“Chasing Endless Summer is not just about summer. Above all, it is a state of mind. It reminds us not to lose our curiosity, playfulness and the courage to do what truly fulfils us,” says Zuzu Gálová.
Another distinctive element of her work is the absence of detailed facial features. Rather than portraying one particular woman or telling a predetermined story, Gálová leaves space for viewers to discover their own memories, emotions and narratives within each painting.
ART BEYOND THE GALLERY
The exhibition was created specifically for Almanac X Alcron Prague, a hotel that has long sought to connect hospitality with contemporary art, design and gastronomy. It continues the property’s series of rotating exhibitions and reinforces its role as a vibrant cultural platform in the heart of Prague.
“I believe art belongs outside galleries as well. I love the idea of it becoming a natural part of places where people meet, travel and create their own stories,” adds Zuzu Gálová.
According to Alena Spišiaková, General Manager of Almanac X Alcron Prague, Gálová’s work brings an exceptional sense of light, optimism and positive energy to the hotel, while reflecting its vision of a space where art, design and everyday life naturally come together.
CHASING ENDLESS SUMMER
The official opening of Chasing Endless Summer will take place on 8 September 2026 at 6:00 PM at Almanac X Alcron Prague, with guests also having the opportunity to meet the artist in person.
For a moment, Zuzu Gálová brings the spirit of Bondi Beach to the heart of Prague – reminding us that perhaps endless summer is not a question of place or season, but a way of seeing the world.
