Four evenings, four line-ups, and one of Europe’s most enchanting spa towns as the backdrop. From July 24 to August 14, 2026, Falkensteiner Spa Resort Marienbad hosts the fifth edition of Jazz Summer – a concert series that pairs music with architecture and an atmosphere few places in Europe can still offer today.
A Genre That Plays Differently Every Time
Jazz is hard to sum up in a single sentence, and that’s precisely why it works so well live. Swing, improvisation, and the tension that builds between musicians on stage turn every concert into a one-off experience – as unrepeatable as the evening itself.
The concerts take place on the resort’s terrace, under the open sky, with a view of Mariánské Lázně’s Art Nouveau façades. The five-star hotel still carries the imprint of an era when the town ranked among the continent’s most sought-after spa destinations, welcoming monarchs, artists, and other figures of European cultural life. The program doesn’t end when the last note fades – the hotel’s Library Bar offers an elegant continuation of the evening, with a good glass of wine and music that lingers long after the band has left the stage.
The 2026 Line-up
The series opens on July 24 with Futur Swing, a group rooted in the gypsy swing of Django Reinhardt and pushing it toward more modern harmonies. Its unusual instrumentation – violin, saxophone, and banjo-guitar – gives the sound a distinctive character.
On July 31, Jazz Fancies ft. Julia returns to the stage in a refreshed line-up, with eighteen-year-old singer Julia Šlahařová as the evening’s standout discovery. The repertoire ranges from jazz standards to elements of soul, funk, and gospel.
August 7 bridges the Czech and international scenes: double bassist František Uhlíř, one of the most respected names in Czech jazz, takes the stage alongside British saxophonist Andy Schofield. Expect a concert full of energy and the kind of musical interplay that only seasoned musicians can deliver.
The series closes on August 14 with Work, Shop and More, a long-standing fixture of Prague’s club scene and Czech jazz festivals, known for its striking stage presence and openness to improvisation.

Hotel guests have concert access included in their stay, while the public can purchase tickets for 200 CZK. Seating is limited, so early reservation is recommended.
