When a Handbag Becomes a Jewel
Taking centre stage once again is the Serpenti Cuore 1968, which, following its successful debut, has quickly established itself as one of Bvlgari’s most coveted handbags.
Its distinctive heart-shaped silhouette is a tribute to love and to the Maison’s iconic serpent motif, one of Bvlgari’s most recognisable symbols. Inspired by the legendary Serpenti Harlequin watch from 1968, the sculptural metallic snake handle beautifully bridges the worlds of high jewellery and luxury leather craftsmanship.
For the Spring/Summer 2026 season, the bag is introduced in exceptionally soft calf leather in the elegant Light Amethyst shade, further enhancing its refined character.
Serpenti Cuoricino: The Smallest Bag with the Biggest Presence
The Serpenti family also welcomes a new addition with the introduction of Serpenti Cuoricino, a playful reinterpretation of the iconic handbag in an exquisite miniature format.
Despite its compact proportions, it retains the collection’s signature softly padded lines and heart-shaped silhouette, making it feel more like a wearable jewel than a conventional handbag.
Initially introduced in Royal Ruby and Dusty Pink, the collection has since expanded with vibrant new shades including Tangerine Garnet, Sunbeam Citrine and Feroza Turquoise, offering bold yet elegant colour accents for the modern wardrobe.
More Than 4,600 Crystals on a Single Handbag
Among the highlights of the collection are two dazzling editions of the Serpenti Cuoricino Neige Pavé Crystal.
Each piece is meticulously hand-embellished with more than 4,600 crystals in two different sizes, creating an extraordinary play of light and brilliance.
Alongside the luminous Gold version, Bvlgari has also introduced the spectacular Rainbow edition, featuring seven vibrant shades carefully arranged to create a dynamic chromatic effect. Every crystal is individually applied by hand through a complex, multi-stage process that perfectly demonstrates the Maison’s extraordinary artisanal expertise.
The result is not merely a luxury accessory, but a true collector’s piece.
Inspired by Ancient Rome
Another defining element of the High Craft collection is the Calla motif, reinterpreted by Mary Katrantzou through exquisite leather craftsmanship.
Inspired by the famous mosaic of the Baths of Caracalla in Rome—a historic site whose restoration has been supported by Bvlgari—the motif has been transformed into a contemporary symbol of femininity, elegance and timeless design.
