Frequent travel, changing time zones, lack of sleep, air pollution, digital overload, disrupted circadian rhythms and everyday stress create a combination of factors that La Prairie describes as “modern fatigue” of the skin.

Among the most intriguing ingredients in the new collection are Swiss Glacial Minerals sourced from the Valais Alps.
Naturally filtered Swiss glacial water is rich in three minerals essential to the skin: calcium, magnesium and potassium. Calcium supports a strong skin barrier, magnesium contributes to regenerative processes, while potassium helps regulate hydration and supports the skin’s response to external stressors.
Yet La Prairie goes beyond harnessing the power of nature alone. The minerals are microscopically encapsulated in plant-based liposomes designed to mimic the skin’s natural lipid layers, allowing their restorative potential to be released upon contact with the skin.

HYPOWER LP52™: A NEW CHAPTER IN SWISS SCIENCE
The second pillar of the collection is HyPower LP52™, a patented biotechnological active developed through joint research with two leading Swiss universities, HES.SO and ETH Zurich.
Its purpose is to support homeostasis – the skin’s natural state of balance – and help it adapt to the stresses of modern life.
HyPower LP52™ is derived from an exceptionally resilient microorganism and obtained through a precise three-step biotechnological process involving cultivation in a bioreactor, freeze-drying, followed by extraction and filtration.

THE SECRET LA PRAIRIE HAS GUARDED FOR DECADES
The third component is the unmistakable signature of the house: Exclusive Cellular Complex™.
First patented in 1998, with a further twenty-year patent granted in 2014, its formula remains so closely guarded that producing the final cellular extract requires three specialised laboratories.
