The Soul of the Beast

Aston Martin is reviving its legendary ‘S’ tradition with the introduction of the DB12 S. It is the Super Tourer perfected: more powerful, sharper, and with a design that leaves no one in doubt.

While the Aston Martin DB12 was celebrated as a pioneering Super Tourer, the British brand is now pushing the boundaries even further. The world is being introduced to the new halo model of the famous DB bloodline: the DB12 S. This car continues the long tradition of high-performance ‘S’ models, which dates back to 1953, and joins the recently revived family alongside the DBX S and Vantage S.

At the heart of the car is a meticulously tuned 4.0-litre Twin-Turbo V8 engine, its power increased to 700PS with 800Nm of torque. This power catapults the DB12 S from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, and it won’t stop until it reaches a top speed of 202mph. But it’s not just about the raw numbers. Engineers have reduced gearshift times by more than 50% and honed the throttle pedal calibration to ensure the driver feels an absolute connection to the car. The intense experience is underscored by a new quad-pipe sports exhaust system, its soundtrack tuned to evoke emotion throughout the entire rev range.

The chassis has undergone a series of detailed changes with a single goal: to maximise agility with no compromise to comfort. The car has been given a stiffer rear anti-roll bar, finessed geometry settings, and newly tuned Bilstein DTX dampers for perfect control over every movement of the body. Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) are now standard, which not only dramatically increase stopping power but also reduce unsprung weight by a full 27kg, resulting in immediately noticeable improvements in handling and steering feel.

Design in Service of Performance

The uncompromising performance is also reflected in the car’s confident appearance. A new aerodynamic package, including a front splitter, bonnet louvres, and a fixed rear spoiler, gives the car a lower, more aggressive stance, with each element actively contributing to downforce and high-speed stability. A discreet but proud nod to its performance pedigree comes in the form of handmade ‘S’ badges on the fenders.

The exclusivity of the S version carries over into the interior. The focal point is the red anodised drive mode rotary controller, its colour echoed in details like the seatbelts and contrast stitching. There is a choice of three luxurious trim environments, combining the finest leather and Alcantara. 16-way adjustable Sport Plus seats come as standard, though Carbon Fibre Performance seats are also available for maximum support.

The Aston Martin DB12 S is available to order now in both Coupe and Volante forms, with the first cars reaching customers in the first quarter of 2026. On the Czech market, the Aston Martin brand is exclusively represented by the Cartec Group.
