The iconic Bvlgari Bvlgari watch collection is celebrating a major anniversary, commemorating its legacy in spectacular fashion—with new models whose heart is crafted from a material as eternal as Rome itself: marble.
The story of this collection is one of creative revolution. When Gianni Bulgari introduced the first model in 1975 as an exclusive gift for top clients, he shattered established conventions. The double logo, engraved on the gold bezel in the style of ancient Roman coins, was a bold and unprecedented move. Two years later, the brilliant designer Gérald Genta transformed this original vision into the brand’s first truly iconic watch collection. A legend was born, instantly captivating global celebrities from Tina Turner to Zendaya.
The Bvlgari Bvlgari design is the essence of Roman architecture and aesthetics. Its bezel recalls ancient coin engravings, the case’s silhouette evokes the monumental columns of the Pantheon, and the typography comes directly from the flagship boutique on Via Condotti, established in 1934. It is the very DNA of Bvlgari, forged into a timepiece.
For its fiftieth anniversary, a quartet of new models now arrives to push this identity even further. Two versions in yellow gold are adorned with a green “Verde Alpi” marble dial, while rose gold variants are complemented by a deep blue “Blu Incanto” and an icy blue “Azzurro Infinito.” Using marble—a stone worked with the same precision as the most precious gems—is a technical challenge. However, its natural veining ensures that every single piece is an absolute original.
The new models are available in two sizes: an elegant 26mm case with a quartz movement and diamond indexes, and a larger 38mm version with the in-house automatic Calibre BVL 191. Both variations are completed with an alligator leather strap in a matching hue.
