It vacuums, mops and even takes care of its own cleaning. Miele introduces the second generation of its cordless Duoflex range, with the Duoflex HX2 combining dry and wet cleaning with automated maintenance.
Floor cleaning usually involves several steps: vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the brushes and finally taking care of the appliance itself. The Miele Duoflex HX2 significantly simplifies this process. The new generation of cordless stick vacuum cleaners combines vacuuming and wet cleaning in a single pass and then automates part of the appliance maintenance.
VACUUMING AND MOPPING IN ONE
At the heart of wet cleaning is the new AquaTurbo attachment. Two counter-rotating rollers create a floating effect that allows the attachment to glide easily across the floor while picking up dry dirt and wet spills at the same time. In a single pass, it can tackle everything from crumbs to wet spills in the kitchen. In laboratory testing using the specified methodology, the Duoflex HX2 removed coffee stains three times faster than selected competing cordless vacuum cleaners with wet and dry cleaning functions.
The SpeedLock system allows the appliance to be converted from a floor vacuum into a handheld device within seconds. Automatic floor-type detection adjusts the cleaning performance to suit different surfaces. In handheld mode, the Duoflex HX2 offers a runtime of up to 70 minutes. The display makes it easy to select different power levels while continuously showing the remaining runtime.
AUTOMATION AFTER CLEANING
One of the key innovations is the way Miele approaches maintenance of the appliance itself. AutoCareBase, Miele’s first self-cleaning station for cordless stick vacuum cleaners, automatically removes hair from the brush using the AutoCut system and empties the dust container. The dirt is collected in a dustbag which, according to the manufacturer’s testing and assumptions, allows up to 90 days of use without manual emptying.
With the Duoflex HX2 Aqua, the AutoClean system takes care of the wet rollers in its dedicated AquaBase cleaning station. Together, AutoCareBase and AquaBase reduce contact with dust, hair and other dirt, bringing a greater degree of automation to the entire cleaning process.
100 YEARS OF FLOORCARE
Next year, 2027, will also mark a major anniversary for Miele. The brand’s first vacuum cleaner, the Model K, was launched in 1927, meaning that Miele will celebrate 100 years of floorcare.
